There may be minor discrepancies when comparing different monitoring platforms. If you notice a discrepancy that you are concerned about, please contact GERS for further investigation. Often times, it is as simple as the frequency of reporting to monitoring platforms.

Additionally, your Utility’s billing cycle may not fall perfectly on the first and last date of each month. Many monitoring platforms allow custom reporting, which allow customers to view the production of their system over the course of custom date selections, in addition to daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and system life production.  Please note that reliable communications are necessary for accurate monitoring, reporting of production, and often times, for systems to remain under manufacturer’s warranty.

Please note that there may be some services which will require the customer’s Internet Service Provider (Infinity/Cox/GoNetSpeed/Frontier/Etc.)

For safety reasons, your system is designed to stop generating power if the utility grid goes down. However, if you would like to incorporate a backup power solution, such as a backup generator or a battery, GERS can design a system to do so. 

Your solar system is certainly an investment that will stand the test of time! Although there is no definitive life to your solar system, major components of your system are designed to operate for 20-30 years, with real life examples of panels lasting even longer!

Quality solar installations require minimal maintenance, however it is recommended that you schedule periodic inspections and cleanings, to ensure your system is operating at peak performance, and any issues are corrected before they turn into a larger problem.
